The M (for Martin) series started life in 1972 with three engine options in the latest incarnation of the classic TVR body style. The 1600 was quickly dropped as sales were dissapointing but the mid '70s fuel crisis saw it back in the range.

I wouldn't have known the car shown was a 1600 if I hadn't spoken to the owner. It has non standard twin tailpipes. This is a later car, it has no side vents and the last tail light variant. The wheels are TVR 'T slot' alloys, standard on M series cars.
